Ring Measuring Tips and Tricks

Secretly Estimate Ring Size

Secretly Estimate Ring Size

1 Borrow a Ring Method

If you can borrow a ring that the person already wears on the ring finger of the correct hand, this can be a great way to estimate the size.

Place the borrowed ring on a ruler and measure the inside diameter in millimeters.

Match the diameter measurement to our size chart to find the ring size.

2 Use a Ring Sizer Tool Discreetly

You can order a plastic ring sizer tool and use it when the person is sleeping or not around.

Simply slide the different size options onto the person's finger until you find the best fit.

Common Mistakes to Avoid When Measuring Ring Size

Common Mistakes to Avoid When Measuring Ring Size 1

Incorrect Placement of the Measuring Tool

When using a string, thread, or paper strip, make sure it is wrapped snugly but not too tight around the finger. A too-tight measurement will result in a ring that is too small.

Not Considering Ring Width

Not Considering Ring Width

Wider rings will fit more snugly than narrower ones. If you are choosing a wider ring, you may need to size up by half a size to ensure a comfortable fit.
